The unit's base frame bolts to the wall using heavy duty mounting hardware, while the enclosure attaches to the base frame using a high strength security screw system for the ultimate defense against removal from the wall (this is an open back design unit - like a picture frame). The TV Shield PRO Lite ® features .177" thick ultra clear shatterproof polycarbonate for the front shield and a .25" thick aluminum front frame. This protective TV and digital display enclosure will hold up in the roughest and toughest environments including federal correctional institutions and mental health institutions. Located at the top of the unit, the recessed fan cooling system is designed to continuously expel hot air out of the enclosure while drawing in fresh, cool air, creating an air pocket between the TV or display screen and the clear front panel of the unit. It features an ultra-quiet air circulation system (120-volt 35 CFM ultra-quiet fan) along with a heat exhaustion system.
For best viewing results, place the display an inch or less from the anti-glare front shield. Please note that anti-glare front shields will significantly reduce the appearance of sun glare on the screen, however, anti-glare coating by nature does have a matte finish that may slightly cause the clarity of the image to not quite be as high as the image on the actual TV screen.
Following the recommendation made for the anti-glare, please note that it may vary for roughest and toughest environments like mental health and correctional institutions or any places that need stronger screen defense. We recommend using a slim TV and ultra-slim TV wall mount to have at least 2-3 inch between the front shield and your TV. The polycarbonate front shield needs to absorb the hit, so your TV cannot be installed as close as possible of the front shield.
Because he can be installed from only 15mm / 0.59" off the wall, we strongly recommend the ultra-slim fixed TV Wall Mount BM-F3260125.
The TV Shield Pro Lite does not protect TVs from rain or wash-downs and is not meant to be water submerged.
Thermostatic fans that click on at 31.1 Celcius degrees and off at 25.6 Celcius degrees are included.
Graffiti like spray paint can be washed off of the screen with special removal spray, and dry-erase markers are usable on the front panel.
